Our Philosophy

Our focus has always been on developing powerful software with an effective user interface. The challenge is to design and create software that does the smart thing, rather than confronting the user with an endless array of choices.

"The trouble begins with a design philosophy that equates "more options" with "greater freedom"... In my experience, the instruments and tools that endure (because they are loved by their users) have fewer options... too many options create tools that can never be used intuitively."
Brian Eno, musical composer, WIRED Magazine, January 1999

Our software is different because we are committed to the following principles:

  • Keep it simple
  • Make it consistent
  • Ensure that it will endure
  • Provide flexible configurations and expansion paths
  • Develop open systems, allowing for the choice of the best-suited operating system and equipment
  • Hide technology's complexities behind a clean working environment
  • Create software that people LIKE to use!
